While We Were Away

The dogs are feeling the stress of us being gone so much. They are constantly under food the moment we get home.
In the past it was only our little dog Buddy that had his way with the tissue in our bathroom wastebaskets when we'd been away for extended periods of time, but this week our collie Caillou has been dragging the pillows and throw covers from the couch and love seat and scattering them throughout the house.
When things settle down, I'll spend some quality face-snout time with them to help set things right. The days will soon become warmer....maybe we could all go fishing.

  3. This is the downside of pets, but I have never let that stop me from having them because they are one of life's great joys.

When we travel I get one of my adult children to come and live in the house with my pets. I have been fortunate that they can do that.

  7. I'm sure they'll be thrilled to go fishing or just sit and enjoy the time when you're able..and I've found that dogs rarely hold a grudge! I loved the previous post about the Aunt finding family members. How great is that! Technology can get a bad rap many times, but when it can connect families together I would call it a modern miracle.

  8. No such thing as a downside to having dogs. You'll all get through this and then you'll spend quality time together.

    Love,
