Chasing the sun

I love contrails on jet planes that are chasing the sun.
When I think of how super rich people spend their time, I often imagine them boarding private LearJets laden with cases of expensive champagne, and tanned people named Bif and Bev who are wearing tennis outfits, and laughing as if they didn't have a care in the world, except to make it to their destination while the sun was still shining.
I often wonder what I'd do if I had enough money to leave my troubles behind and chase the sun.
The thing is, money doesn't keep you from having problems. Some problems are easier to manage with a pocket full of cash, but all the money in the world can't buy you true love, or another second of life when your time comes.
But if you had money, health and the love of a good partner, chasing the sun would be a fun way to spend an afternoon.

  1. Money makes life easier in some ways, as long as you don't have more money than you can handle. I'd rather be loved than have more money.

    Love,

  2. I couldn't agree more Rick... money can be great as long as you have the love of your life and then spending it chasing the sun would be amazing:)

  6. I too love contrails and seeing them contrast with the sky...especially a golden sky. I wrote a blog post about it last spring. And as far as money, nope - it can't buy you the intangible things. Never has, never will.

  7. Thanks for visiting Rhymes.
Nice to dream. We have people winning lotteries here and they go back to ask them a few years later if it made a difference and answers were astonishing. In many cases it did not result in happiness.

  10. Yep, I've know a lot of people with a lot of money, and the problems they have are the kind that money can't fix. We all have problems - it's best sometimes to be content with our own. There's always someone who is worse off.

  11. You can..and I'm sure you do...watch an amazing sunset from your own backyard with Jilda. Rich or poor..we all own the sunsets! (But with a little more cash I could buy a cashmere sweater to wrap in while watching!)
