Blue sky day

Today was hotter than satan with a windburn. The mercury was pushing triple digits, with humidity you could sip using a straw.

We drank coffee on the back deck before sunrise and even then, it was hot. The cloudless sky was solid blue.

Later when we headed out for a few errands, I noticed that clouds had moved in. At one stop, while Jilda was inside, I snapped a photo.

I've been in a bit of a rut recently. I used to panic when I got the bla's, but I've come to understand that it's only temporary. The it's best not for fret. So I just keep tapping keys.

  2. Funny, you talking about the rut sounds like you are not in a rut, yeah I know it doesn't make sense, but it makes a good entry. Good pic! (smile) I think it was on this day long ago, that King George declared our forefathers in rebellion. We were climbing out of the rut.

  4. G'afternoon Rick. Thank you for stopping by "Respice Prospice" ...so I might come this way and meet y'all! Hope you don't mind if I make a habit out of it? :)

My son and his family have lived in Pike Road, Alabama some 25+ years now -- in turn, I've grown to love it, as well. (Fair warning ... we're huge Auburn fans!)

    Have a great weekend!

  7. We haven't had any really hot weather...barely made the nineties for a few days...rain always follows. This is not our typical weather, and i wonder what that means for winter!
