One day at a time

I’m feeling much better. The hard part is not overdoing it. I want this behind me and I have a tendency to push. The doc was happy with my progress but he cautioned that doing too much too soon could be as bad as not doing enough.

His met was not lost on me. The LAST thing I want is for him to have to go back in to fix something that was avoidable.

So the last few days I’ve done what’s on my recommended plan and then spending time resting.

College football started back today. I went out early and took down the summer flag hanging from our arbor and hung my University of Alabama flag.

I’m hoping our team jells and we play well.

I hope your team wins today unless of course, you are a Louisville Cardinal fan.

  2. Rutgers won today, might be the last time. Does Bama ever lose?

  3. You've got to take it easy and rest to get better. Healing has to be done. Good for you to know just how much to do. Your knee didn't get in the shape it was overnight and you cannot expect it to get better overnight either.

  4. From the outside looking in, over doing is the down fall of most of my friends who had major problems after knee surgery. So stay off the playing field for at least a week more!!!!!!~~!~! Glad you are progressign well!

  7. Sports has no interest for me...I know, blasphemy! My dad had his second hip replacement in 1976 and when he came back from the hospital, he went out with his crutches to the sawmill and came back without them...sigh. He did not listen and needed another replacement 2 or 3 years later so I’m glad you are listening to the doctor

  8. My mum has to keep reminding herself not to bend over as her new hip could slip out of the joint but bending over is something we do without thinking
