Different kind of heat than what you have, but it's still HOT in Mesa during the summer. But somehow, she never even mentioned that - just how much fun they'd have cooking outdoors, or playing with cousins. Once she mentioned sleeping on the roof of their house when it was particularly hot. I think we just adapt - especially when we don't know there is more comfort out there. I'll bet those old memories are really sweet though. It's never the comforts and conveniences that make life really good.karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16313237142656662148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19517251.post-62891112669880062482012-07-03T14:45:31.142-05:002012-07-03T14:45:31.142-05:00Great blog, love how small things can take ...Great blog, love how small things can take us back to "the good old days"Karen Whittalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07949558868600221016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19517251.post-21460697756425543182012-07-03T04:12:28.771-05:002012-07-03T04:12:28.771-05:00Awwww love the memories how you and Jilda got your...Awwww love the memories how you and Jilda got your home!! Its like a very short story with the surprise ending - down payment on your home. The shower curtain transformed by the heat and the melted candles made such great mind pictures.

I guess you guessed I enjoyed reading your post today.Joy@aVintageGreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16788328980114729976noreply@blogger.com
