I wish I'd said that

To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palms of your hand and eternity in an hour

~ William Blake

I'm a collector of quotes. When I find a good one I read it time and again.  This one by William Blake is humbling.  It's only two lines of poetry that speak volumes.

  1. Very good and thought provoking quote! I keep a collection of quotes as well; it's awesome that we can read and remember the wise words of men and women throughout the ages.

  6. Dear Rick, this is a favorite quote of mine. I first encountered it in an English Lit class in college way back in 1958. I've quoted many times since and thought of it often. I'm glad you've added it to your collection. How did you come upon it? Peace.

  8. I like collecting them too - and I always want to make something with them and hang them on the wall. It's a good thing I don't because I'd have to wall space left!
