Maybe snow

It's been cold today. Jilda whipped up an egg and bacon sandwich for breakfast. Sitting at the kitchen table eating, sleet started ticking on the roof. The weatherman said it would be tonight before precip moved in, but there it was at 9 a.m. Just enough fell to make walking on the deck treacherous.

Wisely, the local schools canceled classes today so Jordan spent time with us. He and Jilda were disappointed that the snow didn't move on in, but we still had fun anyhow.

There are bands of the white stuff off to the west, but we're right on the boundary so it's hard to say if we'll get any or not. We'll know by morning.

Y'all have a great weekend.
This photo is a rerun of one I took a few years ago.

  1. We were to have overnight snowfall, didn't happen but at least our icy street was sanded in the middle of the night. Maybe snow tonight.

  4. Snow down south is a fun thing. And very disappointing when the weatherman is wrong, especially to children & Sheila up in North Carolina.
    Love the picture!

  6. If your not going anywhere, a little snow would be nice, except I know you folks don't have the equipment to clear up a really heavy storm, so maybe just an inch or two.

  7. I would love to have snow. Where I live, it can snow 15 minutes away but not where I am...really weird.

  11. Love your rerun photo...so pretty. It's super cold this weekend up here. We did get snow on Thursday and it was a crazy ride home from work that night. Of course I was on call and was out until 1am. I hate call in the dead of winter! Take care and if you get snow I know you guys will enjoy it. Stay safe if driving!
