Beautiful day

I was going to blog tonight about our gig today at an assisted living facility. But Jilda said it best here.

Today was absolutely beautiful. It was a perfect autumn day. Blue skies and white horse-tail clouds connected by contrails from planes headed west.

The leaves are stunning. I fretted in late August and September that the leaves would go from green to tobacco brown. But the hurricane that came into the gulf brought much-needed rain. Of course, it wasn't kind to others throughout the south.

This morning before we headed out, we took the dogs for a long leisurely walk. When we walked down the barn road, it reminded me why we love living here.

  3. Glad you are getting the color there. It is one of my favorite seasons, just because it is so beautiful out. Too often our November days are dark and dreary but the color helps to brighten everything up. To have sunshine and color is a double blessing!

  5. It must be nice to perform for folks who really enjoy the music and the fun it brings! We finally had autumn colors arrive and although we've had tons of rain these past few days it's still beautiful colors to enjoy. Glad you've had some to enjoy too!

  7. I'm glad you finally got your beautiful autumn colors. We had a huge wind storm and have been without electricity since last night and it finally came back on around 4:00pm today.

  8. I love your photo and am so enjoying the fall colours. Last Friday I was in a long lineup of cars and was on a bridge when I looked to my right. On the River was a fantastic array of colours and the misty rain seemed to bring the colours to life. I wish I had the time to snap a photo. Usually, at this time of year, the leaves would already be on the ground but I find that the weather pattern is now 2 weeks behind
