Out of words

I've written stories for the newspaper in the last few days about how COVID-19 impacts our community. The people I interviewed were friends. Two have the virus and are in quarantine. The other friend lost her mother last Friday, and her family buried her on Monday.

Tonight, I'm out of words. I usually write my column on Wednesday, but I still haven't come up with an idea that resonates.

The plan is to get a good night's sleep and start fresh in the morning.

Y'all stay safe.

  3. So sorry for their loss. It's a hard time for all. So far no one directly related has been infected here. Hope you are refreshed and enjoy your day.

  4. The words will come, you always come thru.
We used to say 'Keep the Faith', at some period in my life that was a cool phrase. I can't remember what started it, but probably the same guy/gal who caused the toilet paper shortage. LOL

PS: it is even a tough time to die, tougher for those left.

  5. Well wishes for your friends with the virus ~ may they feel better very soon, and condolences to those that have lost family and friends.

Have you ever noticed that the new day brings hope but by evening we can be despondent? Something about how our brains work I guess. Mornings are almost always my most positive part of the day.

  6. I hope your friends recover quickly. I'm sorry for the loss of your friends mother. My fear is my Mom will pass away in the nursing facility she's in and we can't see her or say goodbye. This virus has no words...none of encouragement anyway. Stay safe down there Rick.
