I haven't heard the owl that lives in our pines lately...hopefully he didn't fly south! I'm sorry you lost one of your chickens. Our neighbors have them and have lost some to the fox that lives in the creepy woods. One of the worst predators around here are the coyotes. It's fair game to shoot them on sight. I hope that netting works. We're getting our big snow storm today and tomorrow. Wish us luck!yayahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12047536332780197024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19517251.post-75780747255531290712019-01-19T11:33:00.348-06:002019-01-19T11:33:00.348-06:00Poor chickens. Foxes got all my neighbour's chicken last year.

I'm glad that you had a nice meal and that it was off the chart. But very good idea to do what we can to give safety to the ones that cannot protect themselves.
My daddy would say, "you need to burn the critter a little to let him know yo mean business."jack69https://www.blogger.com/profile/12884137603402812926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19517251.post-68562987147227778392019-01-18T22:16:58.691-06:002019-01-18T22:16:58.691-06:00Netting should protect them, must have been like f...Netting should protect them, must have been like fish in a barrel for the owl, easier than spotting mice.joehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08520161706680568508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19517251.post-19168897684984893812019-01-18T22:14:02.709-06:002019-01-18T22:14:02.709-06:00I am glad you had a belated Christmas/birthday din...I am glad you had a belated Christmas/birthday dinner.
