Too hor for Ol' Hook

It's been hellaciously hot. I only when outside to walk them early this morning, and by the end of the journey, they were weary,

I'm going to go to my primary care office tomorrow to have tests run, I will be happy to rule the bad stuff out.

Old Hook is and Kodak will have decided to stay inside.

  1. Prayers for good results at the drs. Oh yes, poor pets have a hard time when it's so hot. My daughter bought a hard plastic pool for her dogs to play in. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  4. Hope all goes well with the Doc. Love the picture, that is a picture of a younger Janie, our grand dog. We were dog sitting for a few days. She just left us to head back to Florida. She is getting weak and of course has learned to life with DEAF!

  9. Yes, you've got to keep those dogs happy and cool. Hope your tests go well and they can fix what ails you other than the summertime heat, and we can't do a thing about that except stay in and keep cool.

  11. I am shocked and very sad. I loved his writings and stories of his every day adventures with is sweet wife Jilda who I will certainly offer up prayers. His music was delightful and his love for his farm and his animals and his wonderful family that he shared his knowledge with was always a delight to read about. Prayers to his sweet nephew Jordan who must be heartbroken today.

  12. We had hoped to wander by some day and meet this sweet couple. I have said it so many times, that must be the hardest soul to lose in life, your forever mate. God Bless Jilda and give her strenght during this terribly trying time.
Love to Jilda and the neighboring kin, especially Jordan. We just know Rick and Jilda are a center part of his life.

  16. Dear Jilda, my prayers and thoughts are with you. I trust that the memories you have of your life shared with Rick will comfort you in the weeks and months and years of grieving that lie ahead. Rick was so kind to me in so many ways. He helped get the word out about the books I'd written and encouraged me to write. I will miss him and his deep compassion for all humans and animals. I hope you are surrounded by love. Peace.
