We walked early this morning and it was almost too cool for shorts. As we circled the barn, I noticed that the muscadines (wild grapes) are ripe. I plucked a low hanging fruit from the vine and popped it into my mouth.
The juice exploded on my tongue, and I closed my eyes to savor the flavor (I love it when I rhyme :) ) I had forgotten how sweet they are. Muscadines are another of Mother Nature's autumn gifts.
Another autumn gift is an opening day win by my favorite college football team, The University of Alabama. They spanked San Jose State. Not sure what the final score was, but it was too much, to not enough for the visiting team.
I put out the game day flag this morning and snapped a self portrait for the blog.
Y'all have a great weekend.
