Fun day

Jilda took vacation this week to pal around. Today we went to see the Delacroix exhibit at the Birmingham Museum of Art.
We met our friends Kaye and Jamie for lunch before viewing the art. The food was exceptional and the service outstanding. This is a winning combination in my book. When you put the restaurant in beautiful setting it's hard to beat.
I have to say I didn't know much about Delacroix before today, but the exhibit was remarkable. He did things no other artist was doing. It was a fun day.

  1. Glad you had a fun day Rick. I haven't been to an art exhibit for a while even though there's an artisan center close to where I live. Maybe I'll go there soon!

  3. Hi Rick! I'm glad that you are having fun with Jilda. I'm embarrassed to admit that I had to Google Delacroix. I'm not up on artists. I'm going to be in Paris briefly at the end of the month. We don't have time to go to the Louvre, but I am going to try to make the Musee d'Orsay. Nice photo of you two!

  5. I love a good art exhibit...we're members at the Art Institute of Chicago for many years now! There are people like Monet who blow my mind away with the beauty they create! Glad you enjoyed your day!
