We attended a high school reunion tonight. It was the 50th anniversary of the class of 69. The thing is, I graduated in 68, but I went to school from the first grade with most of the people in the room tonight.

Back in high school, I took extra courses during the ninth and tenth grades. I also attended summer school. I don't remember why I was in such a hurry, but I skipped the eleventh grade.

Instead of graduating the following year with the class of 69, I walked down the aisle in May of 68.

I'm glad the planners for this reunion invited Jilda and me to come tonight. I saw people I haven't seen in years.

The reunion lasted past our bedtime so right now I'm brain-drained. I'll leave you with a picture of a flower I took today. It's beautiful, but it seems to spread faster than kudzu.

  1. It is indeed a beautiful bloom.
I have never gone to any of my reunions and suspect I never will.

  2. Reunions are so special. We see people we haven't seen in ages. The ones I went to were so well organized and so memorable.
I hope your bees like those flowers.
    Hugs, Julia

  3. Since I did not graduate I have no reunion. I attend with Sherry. I know that she and her classmates really enjoy the rehashing of their years together. Of course over the years I have learned many of the people. Glad you guys had a great time.
Can you imagine a reunion of classes of today, 300+ students?
    Sherry & jack

  4. It must be fun to see those you went to school with. I went to so many different schools and many of us moved away from home after school. I only know where a very few of my schoolmates are.

  5. Speaking of kudzu … HOW on earth does one kill it? Ours already bested the weed eater.

  6. I didn't like school and I have no interest in seeing anyone I went to school with
