When I think of autumn

When I think of autumn, I think of college football. I know it's probably not a big deal at most other locations in the states, but here in the south, we love our football. Roll Tide.
When I think of autumn, I think of fall festivals. Today we played the Kentuck Art Festival. We were on the acoustic stage and practically sat with the audience, without the distance created by an elevated stage, microphones, and wires.
We connected on a level that was what musicians live for. A good day.
When I think of autumn, I think of tapestries. Not the cheap kind made from synthetic fabric, but the real ones, with real color....color that you can smell.
These are a few things I think of when I think of autumn. What do you think about?

  2. When I think of autumn, I also think of football. Here in Chicago, it's all about the Chicago Bears at this time of year. In fact, I think we mark all our seasons by our various sports teams. We're also very into our Chicago Blackhawks right now. Autumn also brings to mind fires in the fireplace inside and some in the fire pit outside. Just coming back home from a road trip out to the Cape, I can't help but think about the beautiful fall colors as the leaves change. They were stunning!

  4. Hi Rick,
Well, I think we have things that we both like in common.
I love Music & Art. I can sing too, yet I am not a professional one.
I love tapestries, quilts, vintage items, nature, animals, celebrating life, etc.
About Fall, I like middle seasons, like Spring and Fall. I do NOT like Winter.
Summer is OK, only when it is NOT TOO HOT.
I hope you can visit me again. I posted a very interesting post in my nature blog that I call, "The Last Straw." I would love to hear your thoughts.
    All the Best,
    Poet Starry.

  5. Oh, by the way, Rick, I am in Facebook under Starry Love, if you wish to CHAT with me from time to time. It'll be a real honour for me. I write Lyrics too...
    Greetings from Poet Starry Dawn.

  6. I think of beautiful colors, crisp early morning works, walking through falling leaves, raking leaves and then jumping in them. : )

  7. Hi Rick.
I'm enjoying your CD. I love all the songs but these are my favorite ones:
    "I think of You"
    "Do what you love"
    "World keeps spinning"
    "Tattooed Soul"
Nice job. Your voices are sweet and enchanting.
