Everything will be alright

Today was more laid back. It was also much warmer. Last Tuesday it snowed and that night the temp dropped to 8 degrees.  That's rare here. But today, it was 70. It felt warm enough to swim.

We did fun family stuff today which gave a little balance to our lives. I think balance is important.

When things get too far out of whack, it feels as if I'm coming off the rails. Today we watched our great nephew Jordan and his friends swimming at the University of Alabama Birmingham Recreational Center.  There's something about the sound of children laughing that makes me feel that everything will be alright.

  1. Laughter is such a simple thing, such a precious thing, such a valuable thing.

  2. It is important to find the right balance and it does help to make you feel as if everything will be alright. Family time has always been a top priority for me.

  3. Ah yes things will be all right. If that disc could talk! Love the farm implements and I never used most of them.

  4. A child's laughter is the happiest sound I can think of. We are in the middle of a blizzard here. So far we have about 10 inches of snow and it is still going strong. Most of the time I can't even see my neighbor's shed. Glad I finished picking up groceries Saturday. I am going nowhere until this is over.

  5. Glad its warmed up for you. our temps were in the 70s and 80s this weekend. I loved it.
    Kid laughter is the best.
