I found the pony picutre

A while back I wrote a blog entry that evolved into a column about the pony picture from before I started to school. The one things that bothered me when I posted that entry was that I couldn't put my hands on the picture.  I tore the house upside down, looking in the photo box, through every folder on my computer, in drawers, file cabinets and under my bathroom sink (don't ask) but I couldn't find the photo.

Then today, I was looking for something else, and as I scanned through the drawer of the dresser in the living room, I picked up a framed picture of Jilda's grandparents, and the pony picture fell onto the floor. Apparently it had somehow attached to the back of that photograph.

I was so happy.  Below is the picture.  Click here to read the pony column.

  4. That is just the best photo, I'm pleased your Mom thought it was worth the price, although the look on your face is just priceless.

Great story to go with the photo.

  5. I guess pony pictures were very popular as we have one of my sister on horseback too. Isn't it strange how we find things when we really aren't looking for them. I do it all the time.

  6. It didn't take but a couple lines and I remembered the 'Pony Column'. Embedded was the line that I remember making me smile: (Whoa better check with your mama), yeah I remember it and seeing an over anxious kid wanting on that pony!
    I like the picture!

  10. Nice photo, isn't it always the way we tear the house apart looking for something and when we are not looking we find what we were looking for

  12. I love that pic! I have one just like it..only it's me on that pony! Well, not that pony since my pic was probably a few years later in Chicago! I did a blog post about it a few years ago. Those memories are precious and your Mom evidently felt it was important to help make that memory precious to you buy using those hard earned dollars to secure it. Thanks for sharing it and I'm glad you have it to be placed back in a place of honor!
