New Knee

We just got home with my new knee. Yesterday was a breeze. Pain blocks, knee injections. I thought it was going to be a picnic. Turns out, I thought wrong. The pain today has been exquisite.
The docs and therapist say each day will be a little better than the last.
We’ll see.

  1. Pain killers make things seem better - and take each day carefully and as instructed by the Dr. and Therapist. If they offer pain killers take them. Drink enough water. Keep writing your posts and let us know how things are going - you can be the leader of the get knee replacement soon to be's. Share what goes right as well as how you got through the hours ...
    Hugs.

  2. My brother would empathise to the max. He came home after having his knee replaced saying he felt fine, and even thought he could walk on it. Later than day he learned differently. Several years down the track he is currently skiing on that same knee. And has been skiing each and every year since.

  10. I hope you have Tylenol 3 to help with the pain. I knew it would be a bitch..if it’s ok to say that

  11. Ice! Pain pill half hour before Physical Therapy and keep up range of motion. Get a ball from a dollar store, lay on your back and do the alphabet at least three or four times a day. You'll be dancing again before you know it!

  12. My recommendation is to take the pain pills(They saved me after my knee replacement!) ThatS what they’re for, to make severe pain bearable. Also, do all of the exercises, even though they’re painful. I took pain meds and ice before my exercises, and it helped
