About last night

NOTE: I sat down to write a post on Wednesday evening, but a someone in a truck knocked down a utility pole and tore down the Internet cable. We didn't lose power but the cable was off all night.

Our great-nephew Jordan wasn't feeling well yesterday so he stayed with us. Jilda had an appointment to get her hair cut in Homewood, so Jordan and I did some exploring while she got whacked.

He'd never visited Vulcan. It was only about a mile from the salon so after grabbing a coffee and a hot chocolate at a local coffee house, we headed to Vulcan.

Unfortunately, the park was closed so we took a selfie in the parking lot and he did research on his iPad.

  1. I musta been about his age the first time I saw the Vulcan. My dad took me there in the late 40s early 50s. I was VERY impressed. That is a great landmark. Nice selfie!

  2. Jordan is catching up to you. Pretty soon, he'll be the one driving you around. That big bare bottom statue on top of the museum sure leaves an impression. I hope jOrdan feels better today.
    Hugs, Julia

  3. I hope Jordan gets to climb to the top one day. Mr. Vulcan is a landmark we take all out-of-towners to. The museum is worth visiting.

Last night was one of those nights for everyone. Spectrum's cable digging cut a gas line, so we had Spire (the new Alagasco) knocking on all our doors at 10 pm.

  4. Are you shrinking or is Jordan growing like a weed?

  5. Hopefully the person who hit the pole was not drunk and didn't hit someone. What is Vulcan? I know Mr. Spock, The planet Vulcan and I believe there is a town named Vulcan in Alberta (or is that Manitoba??). I even believe something having to do with lava and such can be called vulcanite or something like that but have no clue what you are referring to:)

  6. I hope you take him back soon before he is old enough to take himself. Hope he is feeling better.

  7. We had a four or five hour power cut last night. Reasons unknown.
I hope Jordan is much better today.

  8. I don't know Vulcan. I guess it's a visit to Google for me.
